Making reclaimed timber accessible to everybody. Among The Trees is a Marrickville-based workshop and timber merchant that rescues beautiful wood from landfill — and turns it into something people love.

Among The Trees can't get enough of reclaimed and recycled timber — and they believe it should be accessible to everybody. There's nothing like working with wood that would otherwise have been sent to landfill. It keeps the story of that piece alive.
Based at 27 Sydney Street, Marrickville, they stock a range of species and profiles, machine to specified dimensions on site, and run woodworking courses for all skill levels. Open Wed–Fri 8:30–4pm and Sat 9–1pm.
Among The Trees rescue timber from demolition sites and salvage yards, giving it a second life as quality building material available to tradies, DIYers, and designers.
Their workshop produces custom benchtops, shelving, and furniture from beautiful Australian and imported reclaimed timbers — built to spec, built to last.

The timber in your storage unit has a story — and Among The Trees makes sure it gets to tell it.
We sort through your storage unit identifying timber offcuts, wooden furniture, floorboards, doors, and other reclaimed wood materials.
Salvageable wood is separated, measured, and prepared for handover to Among The Trees — nothing usable goes to landfill.
Your reclaimed timber is processed at their Marrickville workshop, machined to spec, and made available in-store to builders, makers, and designers.
What sat forgotten in a storage unit becomes someone's custom benchtop, bookshelf, or hand-crafted chair. Beautiful, sustainable, full-circle.
